General Job Description:

Under the general supervision of the Publications and Information
Coordinator, the successful candidate will perform professional and
technical work to operate and maintain The SMERU Research Institute's
internal library. Responsibilities will also include basic reference
and information research as needed.

Main Responsibilities:

Oversee the daily operation of the library.

Assist SMERU researchers by providing
background information on related research topics and any other
information requested by SMERU staff.

Process incoming library materials, i.e. cataloging, classification, labeling, and shelving.

Conduct internet-based information searches.

Compose bibliographies and book reviews as requested.

Conduct annual inventory.

Involvement in research when required.

Any other duties as requested by the coordinator, director, and deputy.

Qualifications Required:

S1 Librarianship; Knowledge of English language.

At least 2 years' experience in operating and maintaining a library.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
products and database entry skills; good organizational and
communication skills and capacity to build networks; possess good oral
and written skills; detail oriented and able to work with a minimum of
supervision; and have the ability to work in a team environment. The SMERU Research Institute offers attractive
